Chief Accountant
Minimum qualifications:
- University Degree in Accounting &/or Finance
- Chartered Certified Accountant or ACCA (desirable)
Essential
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Proven experience in overseeing full accounting cycles, financial statements, and month/year-end closings.
- Expertise in tax compliance, returns, audits, and liaising with tax authorities.
- Experience in establishing internal controls, managing financial risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Leadership in managing and developing an accounting team, including task allocation and performance evaluations.
- Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, cost management, and supporting strategic decisions.
- Advanced knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SUN, Pantheon) and accounting software.
- Strong communication skills for reporting to senior management, auditors, and stakeholders.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex financial issues and propose solutions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial and operational goals.
- Experience of group consolidation procedures
- Experience of transfer pricing and tax issues
