About job
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water distribution and conservation.
Your key responsibilities:
- Install and maintain irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and repair system malfunctions, leaks, or clogs.
- Program and adjust irrigation controllers to optimize water usage and plant health.
- Collaborate with landscaping teams to ensure irrigation systems align with landscape designs and plant needs.
- Monitor water usage and recommend adjustments to promote water conservation.
- Maintain accurate records of irrigation system installations, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide guidance and training to junior technicians as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest irrigation technologies and industry best practices.
Knowledge and experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in irrigation systems is preferred.
- Proven experience in installing and maintaining irrigation systems, preferably in landscaping or agricultural settings.
- In-depth knowledge of various irrigation components, such as pipes, valves, controllers, and sprinkler heads.
- Familiarity with irrigation system design principles and water conservation practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and repair system issues efficiently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to coordinate with landscaping teams and clients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
