Director – Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community
Location: Belgrade

The Transport Community is an international organisation composed of the EU and the Western Balkan parties with the mission of progressively aligning the transport legislation and further integrating the transport networks and markets of South East Europe (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of North Macedonia, Kosovo*, Montenegro and Serbia) into those of the European Union. The Transport Community focuses on projects, networks, interoperability standards, safety, traffic management, social policy, public procurement and environmental issues, spanning all transport modes except air. You will play a vital role in creating seamless transport conditions as you lead the activities of the Permanent Secretariat of the Transport Community.

Your responsibilities:

• To act as the legal representative and public face of the Transport Community;
• To support the South East European parties in implementing relevant EU legislation;
• To oversee the performance and management of the Permanent Secretariat.

Your skills:

• Proven ability to manage a public body;
• Broad understanding of EU policies and legislation relating to the Transport Community;
• Familiarity with the South East European region and its challenges (ideal but not essential).
