HR company WEON for the client - luxury hospitality brand, is looking for candidates at the position of:

 

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

 

Job description:

  • Assist in review of all contracts, proposals, quotations and legal documents to determine the financial, operational and legal implications
  • Prepare and submit reports and any ad hoc reports that are required by Hotel Management or Company, on timely and professional manner
  • Active participation in business reforecast, completion of weekly/monthly Reforecast and Cashflow Projection Reports, continuously monitor and manage process to achieve the targets by effective cost controls.
  • Develops and administers the necessary internal controls to protect the owner’s assets and maximize profits
  • Work with Department Heads to ensure that they are aware of and follow the Finance Policies & Procedures
  • Command complete and thorough understanding and responsibilities over critical processes, including but not limiting to the Revenue & Expense, Billings & Collections, Records & Audits, Purchasing, Storage and Payment and Payroll cycles
  • Ensure completion of bank, cash, float, stock and balance sheet reconciliations at least once per month
  • In conjunction with the GM, conduct regular self audits for submission to theVP of Finance.
  • Oversee the IT department, implementation of IT policies, have thorough understanding and ensure smooth running of all IT hardware and software 
  • Actively participate as member of the Executive Committee (EXCO), support and work closely with other members and participate in EXCO meetings and activities as required
  • Prepare financials for Business Plan (BP) and in conjunction with the GM, submit by due date stated in the HMA and BP Guide
  • Meeting with auditors, to liaise with bother internal and external auditors in compliance with the Company’s requirements
  • Administer and control the Capital Expenditure (Capex) approval process, including adhering to Capex budget, review quotations, ROI or Payback Period analysis, justifications, approval authorities, assist Owner update the Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation schedule as required
  • Maintain and safeguard all accounting records, contracts, leases, insurance policies, licenses, all legal documents and intellectual properties

Requirements:

  • Accounting Degree & preferably CPA equivalent
  • No less than 3 years FC experience in international branded hotels
  • Prefer adequate maturity, with total 10 – 15 year working experience
  • Have working experience in Montenegro
  • Familiar with local tax system including VAT
  • Preferably with working knowledge of Hotel Uniform System of Accounting
  • Preferably with hotel opening and residence experience   
  • Good level of English
  • Hands on, attention to detail, strong leader, etc
