Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with a strong focus on online sales within the car rental industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of digital sales channels and the ability to drive revenue growth through innovative online strategies. You will lead the online sales team, develop digital sales strategies, optimize the customer journey, and work closely with the marketing team to achieve sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Online Sales Strategy:
  • Identify key market trends, customer behaviors, and digital opportunities to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics to ensure the achievement of revenue goals.
Digital Sales Channels:
  • Manage and optimize all online sales channels, including the company website, third-party booking platforms, and mobile applications.
  • Explore new digital sales avenues, including social media and online advertising campaigns.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the online sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify training needs, and foster a high-performance sales culture.
Customer Experience:
  • Monitor and improve the online customer journey, as well as in-person service, ensuring a seamless and user-friendly booking experience.
  • Develop initiatives to enhance customer service at the counter desk, focusing on quick and efficient transactions, staff training, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms for in-person transactions and utilize insights to improve both online and offline sales processes and service quality.Data Analysis & Reporting:
  • Use data analytics tools to track online sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and customer support teams to align sales strategies and ensure a cohesive online presence.
  • Collaborate with IT and web development teams to implement new features and functionalities that drive online sales.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis:
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities in the car rental space.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify potential new markets, customer segments, and pricing strategies.
Pricing & Promotions:
  • Develop and implement competitive pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to attract and retain customers.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of promotional activities and adjust strategies as needed to maximize online revenue.
Counter Desk Sales Optimization:
  • Develop strategies to improve sales performance at physical rental locations, ensuring counter staff are equipped with the tools, training, and motivation to drive sales of add-on products, services, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Branch Managers and Operations Managers to set counter sales targets and implement programs to enhance customer interactions and upselling opportunities at the desk.
Corporate Sales & Account Management:
  • Lead corporate sales initiatives focusing on long-term rentals (lease) and short-term rentals to business clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, identifying their needs and providing tailored rental solutions.
  • Negotiate and secure corporate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and maximizing rental revenue.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in sales management, with a focus on online sales, in-person sales in leasure industry, and corporate sales (long-term lease and short-term rentals) in the car rental or related industry (e.g., travel, hospitality, automotive).
Skills:
  • Strong understanding of online sales channels and digital marketing.
  • Proficient in data analysis and sales forecasting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written; knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate data insights into actionable sales strategies.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with CRM software, online booking systems, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Excel, BI tools).
  • Other: Results-oriented with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
