Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily administration and operations of the Finance Department
- Responsible for preparing of month-end journals and month end financial statements
- Prepares monthly reports
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with local and statutory obligations i.e. Payroll tax, Group Tax
- Prepares obligatory accounting statutory books
- Follows up and apply the amendments on laws
- Follows up tax declarations, returns, social funds, municipality duties
- Upkeep accounting software and eliminate problems
- Maintenance of General Ledger including balancing to subsidiary ledgers
- Is aware of and abides by all hotel policies, procedures & relevant legislations
- Perform yearly closing and maintain all accounts
- Makes yearly audit report
- Liaison with banks and official institutions and auditors
- Maintains relationship with banks
- Performs other duties assigned by his / her Supervisor
- Maintains the books of accounts
- Prepare statuary books and year end closing
- Prepare Income Tax and V.A.T. declarations
- Control Of the cashier function and bank accounts
- Performance of month end closing
- Complete inter company invoices
- Maintain importation accounts
- Follow ups and reconcile inter company accounts
- Prepare policy & Procedures for new functions in operations
- Supervise accounting team members
- Check bank accounts, balances and prepares “Cash Bank Report”
- Ensures all directions are followed out at the request of any level of Senior Management
- Maintaining of Accruals and Prepayment schedules
- Assist and supervise stock-taking functions
- Training of team members
- Filing and archiving of records for at least 5 years in line with statutory requirements
- Abide to any duties as assigned by Management
Education and experience:
- Qualified Chartered accountant with minimum 5 years post qualification experience
- Team leadership successes in previous roles
- Work experience at international companies (for e.g. audit, corporate, etc)
- Experience with third party accounting
- High level of English language skills
- Hospitality experience is considered as an advantage
- Good time management and strong organizational skills
- Strong in processes
- Independent, ability to work under limited supervision
- Good people management and development skills
- High level of integrity
- Openness, share ideas, initiate and support change, challenge the status quo

- Flexibility in terms of handling ad hoc issues, projects, assignments
