ENTERPRISE IT SYSTEM SPECIALIST
In Podgorica
Key responsabilities
- Install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure and hardware according to documentation and procedures. Monitor system logs and activity on all servers and devices. Execute system upgrades based on evaluation and testing. Provide back office support for incidents and service requests.
- Reporting to Manager about all jobs, activities, operational problems and concerns related to work
- Administration of Linux/Unix operating systems and related software
- Introduction, implementation, production maintaining, capacity management and performance control of servers and storages, security and access control to all servers and ensuring data integrity in the domain of responsibility
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of the enterprise IT infrastructure services
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of virtual and cloud infrastructure
- Collaborate in backup and testing recovery for production severs and applications
- Storage provisioning and maintenance, including SAN zoning, and LUN creation
- Installation, configuration and maintenance of the OSS infrastructure
- Collaborate with application developers, database administrators, service providers and data center operations staff to address application issues and problems
- Providing elevated production problem diagnosis and resolution
- Maintain and create operational documentation
- Applying IT methods and procedures in the unit
- Trend analysis and planning of IT Infrastructure
- Project work and optimization of systems under operational control
- Conducting on-job training for lower level staff
- Requires some off-shift and weekend work with rotating on call coverage
- All other ad hoc tasks by request of manager
- University degree in IT, Telecommunication, Engineering or related area, or equivalent working experience
- Typical 2 years experience in an enterprise IT setting
- In-depth understanding of Linux, Unix operating systems, with particular focus on enterprise level features
- Experience with VMware vSphere and ESXi installation and configuration
- Knowledge of SAN/NAS and backup technologies
- Linux/Unix shell scripting languages is an advantage
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work in an international team
- Ability to initiate and drive improvement and change
- Proven analytical and problem solving skills
- Requires some travel mainly in Europe
