Our growing company is seeking to hire

Executive Housekeeping Manager

 

Responsible for maintaining all housekeeping operating standards, overseeing staff, training
and purchasing. Must be a hands-on manager with good organizational skills. A self-starter
who is detail oriented with the ability to communicate effectively, multi-task and motivate
others.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance experience,
  • 2 or more years of supervisory/management experience,
  • Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills,
  • Excellent knowledge of English,
  • Excellent problem-solving skills both one-on-one and in group situations,
  • Ability to utilize a participative approach to managing staff,
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts,
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills and an ability to prioritize,
  • Ability to function appropriately under stressful conditions,
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet,
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, motivate, inspire and manage all housekeeping staff, supervisors, and assistant managers,
  • Conducting daily housekeeping meeting, other department shift meetings, other department meetings as required,
  • Training housekeeping staff on guest service and housekeeping standards as required,
  • Scheduling of housekeeping employees to ensure adequate staffing,
  • Cost control of all facets of the department,
  • Liaise as necessary with Maintenance, Front Office and other departments,
  • Managing labor and purchasing required to meet financial objectives,
  • Housekeeping department recruitment,
  • Opening and closing of Housekeeping, relative to room assignments and cleaning
  • Room inspection program,
  • Administering the monthly housekeeping incentives rewards program,
  • Attending daily, weekly and other leadership meeting as directed,
  • Other duties as assigned.
